This sacred art mosaic piece is one of a kind, unique and beautifully depicted from scripture. Steve Vanderbosch, a parishioner and Graphic Design Illustrator designed the parish logo in 2007 with the approval of the Pastor, Parish Council and the Parish staff. Together with Mireille Wannemuehler, a parishioner and art teacher at the parish school, the two worked tirelessly for the glory of God to create this sacred art mosaic in 2010 as the focal point in the floor of the church entrance. The implementation of the washing of the feet logo mosaic was during the time of the $1.7 million dollar church renovation and expansion. Greek decorative art floor mosaic technique dates back to the early 4th century. Each piece is tiny, flat, roughly square, colored tile, draws all who enter into the big picture of the J-O-Y found in stewardship. Jesus-Others-You. “In every church building, art and architecture become the joint work of the Holy Spirit and the local community in preparing a place to receive God’s Word and to enter more fully into communion with him.” Built of Living Stones: Art, Architecture, and Worship document by the United States Conference Catholic Bishops
